Elegante e’ il marchio di fabbrica del duo Marco Battistini e Marco Pretolani: compositori, musicisti ed arrangiatori, si dedicano al progetto Orchestra immergendosi completamente nelle atmosfere piu’ funky delle sonorizzazioni degli anni 70, avvalendosi di tutti i musicisti e la strumentazione necessaria. Ritmo, groove e orchestra predominano su tutto il progetto, richiamando le rinomate collezioni dell’etichetta inglese Kpm, nonche’ (per le armonizzazioni presenti) le migliori colonne sonore e gli arrangiamenti italo-italiani di Piero Piccioni e Tony De Vita. Dopo due anni di lavoro, in co-produzione con Doktor Zoil, il loro album d’esordio si intitola “It Was Too Hot In There”, un disco in vinile pieno di musica rigorosamente suonata, un intreccio di archi, ottoni, chitarre wha e minimoog, un omaggio al soul, alla disco-music, al funk e alla cinematica.

Elegante is a trademark of a duo consisting of Marco Battistini and Marco Pretolani: producers, composers, musicians and arrangers. After collaborating with Montefiori Cocktail, The Good Fellas and others, the duo focuses on the Elegante Orchestra project, keen to reproduce and explore the funkiest sounds of the 70s, exploiting the help of other musicians and musical instruments to achieve this ideal.
Rhythm, groove and orchestra are the key words in the project, recalling the renowned collections of the english label KPm, and of course use of harmonizations which bring to mind the work of Piero Piccioni and Tony De Vita, their strictly italian arrangements and film scores.
After two years of hard work with co-producer Doktor Zoil they release their debut album "It Was Too Hot In There", a record full of music stringtly played, and performed, a mix of orchestral bows, brass, wha guitars, making use of a minimoog are what make up this soul, dico-music, funk and film score homage.
